“Golden Retriever Brave”: The Heart of a Hero

5. Golden Retrievers have been known to perform acts of heroism, such as saving their owner from a burning building or rescuing a drowning child.

In addition to being one of America’s most popular dog breeds, Golden Retrievers are also well-known for their acts of heroism. From saving their owner from a burning building to rescuing a drowning child, these dogs have shown time and time again that they are truly man’s best friend.

One of the most famous Golden Retrievers to ever perform an act of heroism is a dog named Blaze. In May of 2011, Blaze was home alone with his owner’s two young children when a fire started in the kitchen. Blaze quickly pushed the children out of the house and then went back inside to try to find his owner. When he couldn’t find her, he went back outside and led the firefighters to the house. Thanks to Blaze’s quick thinking, everyone in the family made it out safely.

Another Golden Retriever who is known for his heroic deeds is Simon. In September of 2012, Simon was out for a walk with his owner when they came across a bridge that was being washed away by a raging river. Without hesitation, Simon leapt into the water and swam to safety, despite the fact that he was unable to swim himself. His owner was so impressed by Simon’s bravery that he decided to give him a medal for his heroic act.

These are just two of the many stories of Golden Retrievers who have performed acts of heroism. These dogs are truly man’s best friend, and their acts of heroism just go to show that they are truly loyal and loving companions.
